November 2024 - Day 2 Delay

Hello hello hello!

I didn't want to say this so close to the announced release, but it's become increasingly clear to me that if I push for a November 30th release, Day 2 will be put out in a state of quality I'm unsatisfied with. 

I'm a perfectionist at heart, but also I tend to take my time with a lot of things. Writing the almost 30k new words of script mostly by myself took a big toll on me mentally- and while I'm proud of the words written I'm not proud in the way I've inputted it into the script. There are a lot of things that could be better, that could be made more interesting by taking some time to learn new ways to finagle Renpy or fine tuning other aspects of production.

At the moment what there is, is all of the script and all of the sprites where they’re supposed to be. There's also an entirely new GUI and incredible new art by the art team. But as the head dev, I want to be able to put out a project I'm 100% proud of to do right by my team. 

I'll be taking the month of December to fix up my coding, and hopefully play around with making Day 1's visuals as good as I want Day 2 to be.  I don't want to give a definitive date of release like I did prior in fear of not meeting it yet again, but absolutely expect Day 2 to release sometime late December or Early January. 

I'm sorry for those who are disappointed by this news, I'm certainly upset to be delivering it as well. I just feel the need to do this right and put out something great unrestrained by the deadlines of Otome Jam. The overall reception to the game has been incredible, and I'm truly truly excited to continue telling Satoshi and MC's story.
